I have a dog who is a Golden retriver and lab mix.His name is River and he is 2 and a half years old. His birthday is on Thanksgiving day. River came to us on Christmas day. When I went downstairs he jumped on me and gave me kisses. Santa brought him and he was the best gift ever. My dog has a girlfriend her name is Lola. She is also a Golden and lab mix too. We went to the animal shelter to see him,but on Christmas Santa got him. He is awosome!!! Katie
Playing trombone is SO FUN!! The best part about it is how the slide works. When you blow into the trombone and keep the same tune, you move the slide, and the tempo changes!! I think it's cool because you're keeping the same tempo, but when you move the slide, the tempo completely changes ( well, not completely changes, but it still changes) !

I go to Arielettes Acrobatic Academy. My step sister and friends go there. I have made a lot of friends in just three years. I knew some of them before and a lot of them I had never seen before.
Over these years, I have learned how to do my back handspring, back tuck, ariel, back walkover, front walkover, and many more. The teachers have always been encouraging and very helpful. Missi, the owner, has a daughter, Maddie Ross, who holds one hundred back handsprings world record. She is now a graduated senior. Dance brings me as much joy as an artist loves art.

Some rights reserved Hi! I'm Rachel and I love to sew and make things. I have made bags, clothes, stuffed animals, and a multitude of tiny stuffed food. Making felty stuffed food with faces or jewelry is my favorite thing to do on rainy days. I also love to embroider. Right now I am working on a "Sachet." It is French and is pronounced " Sash-A." It is a cloth bag with fancy designs and dried flowers and spices in it. The design I am doing on my sachet are hearts and tiny delicate flowers embroidered all around it, but you can do any design you want.
How do you make a sachet? I will tell you. First, you make a pattern for a bag on two pieces of cloth. Then, draw designs on one half of the pattern with a sewing pencil or a regular one. Put an embroidery hoop on the penciled half of cloth. Embroider designs on top of the pencil. If you don't know how to sew, watch some youtube videos on embroidery. After you are done designing the bag, sew the two pieces together, but remember to leave the top, OPEN! Finally, in the gap, pour in dry herbs, flowers, and some essential oils. Tie the gap with a fancy ribbon or yarn and you are done. Put the completed sachet where you want things to smell nice.

I have been interested in the Titanic since 3rd grade, and now I'm in 5th grade. Let me tell you the story... In 1912 April 12th, they called the ship ''The Unsinkable Titanic'' so, everyone wanted to come aboard. The people set sail on the Atlantic ocean from Ireland from all the way to New York. Well, almost to New York. Sadly, the night of April 14th, at 2:31 AM, the great titanic suddenly hit an iceburg and scraped which caused everything to flood in the ship into the freezing cold water. Everyone on the ship was frighted. Most people on board were saved, mostly women and children. There were less men who got saved because they thought they were strong and tough and could stand the cold ocean. Sadly, many passengers died. But, the survivors got to go to New York.

In library class, the fifth graders have been learning how to write an interesting blog post and how to write interesting and appropriate comments about things they see on the internet. We have suggested they think before they post.
T – is it true?H – is it helpful?
I – is it inspiring?
N – is it necessary?
K – is it kind?
In this blog we will share some of their writings.
